Christmas Extravagent Wish List
by: Me(duh)
Ever wanna just go wild and imagine you could have so much crap for christmas that you didn't know what to do with it all? I did, and I'm gonna show you some neat shit.
Let's start off with an item that I could never have a practical use for, but to have would be cool as shit. It's a 6 monitor display system, the TigerVista Arena 24T. It's ONLY $8,000:
The next is a portable media player from Ama Technologies. Obviously trying for that IPod look, its the DVX-POD 7010. It has a 6.5" screen, 20 GB hard drive, and can play music, video, and show pictures. There are more appealing media players with larger hard drives; but the features, clarity, and the various supported codecs make this a bit more appealing. $600:
Why not an extra hard drive? May as well get one with some decent amount of storage. Let's go with the 400 GB Deskstar 7k400 from Hitachi. Estimated price is around $400 bucks. When you think about it, a buck a GB isn't too bad:
The OQO. Neat little gadget, I dunno why you'd buy it when you can get a full fledge laptop, but anyways. Small 1GHz Transmeta processor, 20 GB hard drive, 802.11b, bluetooth, and runs Windows XP Pro(or Home for $100 less). Now the upside, it weighs 14 oz. Nothin yo. You'll be shelling out $2,000:

Now from such a small machine to the other spectrum of mobile computing. This laptop needs to be bench pressed. Definitely a desktop replacement, but can be considered "mobile." It's the Sager NP9860. P4 3.6 GHz, 2GB RAM in 4 DIMM's, can use 2 SATA drives and 2 optical drives, 7-in-1 media card reader, gigabit ethernet, opt. wi-fi, 256 MB Geforce 6800, 17 in screen w/built in camera. It'll set you back 3 G's:

I want a digital camera for christmas. I'm not looking this high-end or in this price range, but this camera is insane. It's the Canon EOS-1Ds Mark II. A 16.7 megapixel camera, you can take 4 shots a second. It allows for all the lense attachments a normal Canon uses. $8,000 for just the main body, no lense:
Of course to use that camera, it's gonna require some serious storage for those space taking 16.7 MP pictures. So here's a new compact flash card out, but it'll set you back an insane amount of money. $1,500 to be exact. Its a Lexar 8GB Compact Flash Card. Those images from the Canon are roughly 17 MB each. So here it is:
I don't require any gaming systems because, well, I already have them all. I could throw a PSP in here, but I'll wait. I will need something to play my games on though. So lets go big with this. I'm choosing the Panasonic TH-65XVS30. This is a 65" Plasma TV with HDTV built in, SD card slot, and just a beautiful looking picture. I wouldn't know what to do with it. Now the closest price I could find to it without contacting a dealer was for the 50" version. That was about $9,000. So this would obviously be a lot more. Wow:

Well there are obviously some things I could change. Like the TV so that it would work with the computer. I figure the kick ass monitors would make up for that. That's just my list of extravagant crap I'll never get or at least no time soon. I'll probably roll out a "real" list in a few days. But man that stuff is cool. Lata.
